Sarah Geronimo stresses that a big part of her success today is because of ABS-CBN.
Sarah Geronimo signed another one-year contract with the Kapamilya network last September 8, Wednesday, at the 14th floor of ELJCC Bldg in the ABS-CBN Compound, which dispelled claims that the Pop Star Princess was supposed to switch networks. "Wala na akong ano [duda]," began Sarah in her interview after the contract signing. "Dito at home na at home po ako, napakalaki po ng naitulong sa akin sa career ko ng ABS-CBN. Sila po ang tumulong kay Boss Vic (del Rosario, Viva Entertainment head, who manages Sarah) na makilala ako ng mga tao as Sarah Geronimo, na mang-aawit sa ASAP XV, aktres sa teleserye at even sa mga pelikula ng Star Cinema. Naku, napaka-happy ko po at walang dahilan para umalis."
The actress-singer revealed that she got bothered when she first heard about the rumor that her talent agency would sign her up with a rival network so she immediately contacted her management to set the record straight. "May mga nagsabi na, ako narinig ko sa ibang tao pa. Nag-worry ako at I asked my manager at sinabing hindi naman totoo talaga," she related.
Sarah continued that her contract with ABS-CBN is renewed annually and her new contract includes projects such as her current teleserye, Idol, and as a regular host of ASAP XV. She added that she has no idea yet if she will make a movie in the near future so she will just focus on Idol.
Idol is Sarah'rsquo;s TV comeback and whose last TV series was a Love Spell chapter in 2007 and a guest appearance in a Maalaala Mo Kaya episode in 2008. "Major, major ang pasasalamat natin sa mga kababayan natin na sumubaybay ng premier nung Monday (September 6)," said Sarah about Idol and assured viewers that they should watch out for the big developments as the story of Idol progresses.
