Robi Domingo learns the challenges of doing a horror movie

Robi Domingo is part of the star-studded upcoming horror movie of Star Cinema entitled Cinco. During the pictorial for the movie, Robi revealed what audiences can expect. “May limang stories sa movie. Our episode is entitled Braso. Kami nina AJ (Perez) at Sam (Concepcion) gusto naming sumali sa fraternity. Sa last initiation rites namin, ita-trap kami sa isang morge for one night. Dun mangyayari lahat ng katatakutan. Kung ano anong creatures ang makikita namin. It’s a barkada horror movie kung baga.”

After acting on TV following his stint as a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus, Robi played a minor role with Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson in the movie Paano Na Kaya? Comparing his experience shooting for that film, Robi learned that horror has tougher demands on its actors. Ako si Ronald who is a bit mabait sa barkada.

Robi, Sam, and AJ had to understand what it is like to try joining a violent type of fraternity. “Nag research kami about fraternities. Robi talked about how their work felt light because of Direk Frasco’s method. Well because he directs Goin’ Bulilit. Mamo-motivate ka niya through encouragement and not through fear.”

Another challenge for Robi and his co-stars is the costume required in the story. All throughout their episode in the movie, they had to wear nothing but boxer shorts. Good thing Robi had begun going to the gym and doing muay thai so he will be in the right shape.

Cinco also stars Mariel Rodriguez, Zanjoe Marudo, Pokwang, Bangs Garcia, and Jodi Sta. Maria. The film will premiere on July 14.
