Nikki Valdez says working hard as an actress is her way of providing for her daughter.
After starring as one of Ai-Ai de las Alas'rsquo;s children in Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na 'lsquo; To, Nikki Valdez revealed that her next project will be her return in the action-fantaserye Imortal. "Abangan ninyo kasi magbabalik ako sa Imortal. Ako ang magiging godmother ni John Lloyd (Cruz)."
The 31-year-old actress said she is very thankful that ABS-CBN has given her another shot at showbiz after spending some years in Canada. "Even when I was in Canada naramdaman ko talaga na hindi ako iniwan ng ABS-CBN. Kaya nga malaki ang pasasalamat ko sa kanila sa mga blessings na ibinibigay nila sa akin. I'rsquo;ve been with them for 13 years now, bata pa ako nung magsimula ako sa kanila."
Nikki decided to come back to the country and work in showbiz again when she and her husband separated. Since her young daughter Olivia Isabel is with her, Nikki must work harder to fulfill her parental obligations. "Mahirap talaga. Pero in the end there'rsquo;s fulfillment because I love what I'rsquo;m doing and I know that lahat ng ginagawa ko e para rin naman sa daughter ko. Tao ka lang naman, napapagod ka rin. But as long as you know you'rsquo;re doing something good for the people you love, walang pagod pagod."
Aside from starring in teleserye, Nikki shared she also looks forward to doing an independent film. "Gusto ko ring i-try gumawa ng indie film. Calling all directors and producers, ha ha ha! Marami na rin akong friends na nakagawa ng indie and they all say na-challenging talaga siya. Sana in the future ma-experience ko rin."
