Director Wenn Deramas talks about the original Tanging Ina in his life

With the success of Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na 'lsquo; To at the 36th Metro Manila Film Festival, director Wenn Deramas says the award has definitely given him a boost to work harder in the coming year.

The comedy film recently domindated the Metro Manila Film Festival awards night by bringing home nine awards including Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Film. Sobra, sobrang thankful," he admitted.

Although he is thankful for the success of Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na 'lsquo; To, Direk Wenn wishes he could share it today with one of the most important people in his life: his mother.

Direk Wenn admitted that he sometimes got emotional during the shooting of the film, especially when certain scenes hit too close to home.

Direk Wenn is also happy about the box office success of his film and Ai-Ai'rsquo;s win. Kaya mas masarap, kasi last na 'lsquo;to. Naka-P20 plus million kami nung opening day pa lamang so hindi unbelievable etong lahat ng nangyayari para sa pelikulang Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na 'lsquo; To," he said.

He also shared that he looks forward to producing a movie with Ai-Ai next year among other things. "Meron kami yung dalawa kaming producer. Of course meron kaming financial pero industrial partner kami. Meron ako at sisimulan na namin yung prod ng pelikula. So kami na ni Ai-Ai ngayon. Hindi pa alam kung sino ang magre-release. Kung sino ang magagandahan. Itong 2010
