Baron Geisler is hoping for a positive 2011

Baron Geisler is grateful about being included in the opening salvo of Maalaala Mo Kaya for 2011. The controversial actor will be paired with new ABS-CBN star Jewel Mische, playing a cross-dresser who will get romantically involved with Jewel'rsquo;s character.

The MMK episode is Jewel'rsquo;s first project with the Kapamilya network ever since she transferred from GMA. "Very good, she'rsquo;s very nice and she seems to be a responsible actor," Baron said of Jewel. "She knows what she is doing, she knows her lines. Ang galing niyang umiyak. Napakagaling."

Baron was then asked by entertainment reporters if he has a kissing scene with Jewel. "Ayoko ng kissing scene, 'lsquo;di ko siya type. Feeling ko mas maganda ako sa kanya," he joked. He then went on to say that it is one of the things that viewers should watch out for.

Just like in the previous year, Baron said that he is looking forward to a more positive year in 2011. For the past years, Baron has been involved in controversies, such as being sued for sexual harassment by female celebrities and being plagued by allegations of an alcoholic problem. "Like everyone else, gusto nating mas gumanda, maging positive 'lsquo;yung personality. Lahat maging magaan. I'rsquo;m just hoping and praying na gumanda ang 2011."

He happily revealed that he is also looking forward to finishing an indie film intended the next Cannes Film Festival and which will be directed by Brillante Mendoza. "Sana hindi magkaproblema sa schedule. I heard mae-extend ang taping ng Noah, eh kasama ako sa ending. Pang Cannes Film Festival, maganda 'lsquo;yung role. I'rsquo;m an Abu Sayyaf. It'rsquo;s a very good role, sana hindi magkroon ng conflict sa schedule if ever third time na makakatrabaho si direk pero 'lsquo;di natutuloy dahil sa schedule."
