Kris Aquino shares that her family was unexpectedly impressed with the over-all outcome of 'Dalaw'.
In an interview right after the premiere of Dalaw, Kris Aquino expressed her gratitude to her family and closest friends for supporting her most ambitious project this 2010. "I am happy that they found the pacing mabilis and I'rsquo;m grateful that my whole family made time to watch the movie. And lahat ng effort na binigay namin, 'lsquo;pag nakita mo naman, mararamdaman mo na worth it ang ginawa mo. My other brother in-law said nagulat siya talaga because he was not expecting it to be that good. Parang nagpunta sila dito out of pakikisama pero natuwa talaga sila sa resulta," she began.
Kris also appreciated her brother President Noynoy Aquino'rsquo;s effort to attend the event despite his busy schedule as president of the country. Kris said that he kept texting during the movie because of certain national concerns, but he still managed to absorb the crucial twists in Dalaw. "Nung early part sabi niya, 'lsquo;O may halik na naman.'rsquo; Yeah, [strikto siya in that sense]. Nakalimutan niya atang magkwa-kwarenta na ako sa February. Nakakatuwa kasi siya ang nagsasabi kay Pinky na takot na takot at nagtatakip ng mukha, 'lsquo;Hoy manood ka!'rsquo; And then siya nag-expain kay Pinky when she was asking, 'lsquo; What'rsquo;s happening?'rsquo; 'Flashback 'lsquo;yan, 'lsquo;yan ang explanation.' So I feel naman na na-appreciate niya yung effort."
Some of the local press also pointed out the final scene wherein her husband James Yap body-doubled for Diether Ocampo in Dalaw. To which Kris cheerfully stated, "Yun, yun. Oo hindi lang akap, hinalikan ko siya, beh!"
