Dolphy says a National Artist recognition would be an unexpected bonus for him

After more than six decades in the entertainment industry, Comedy King Dolphy has yet to be given one of the highest honors as an artist: the National Artist Award. But the 82-year-old comedian/philanthropist claims that he couldn'rsquo;t be more content at this point in his life. Pero madami pa ring deserving so kung 'lsquo;di ako mapili okay lang," he said in a grand press con of the 2010 Metro Manila Film Fest entry Father Jejemon.

His dedication to his craft coupled with his good causes via the Dolphy Aid Para Sa Pinoy Foundation even earned him the Grand Collar of the Order of The Golden Heart (an honorary award from Malaca'ntilde;ang) last month.

Aside from his concert tour in U.S. next year, Dolphy shared the type of movies that he'rsquo;d like to do next. Kung papayag or what."

But for now, he takes pride in RVQ Production'rsquo;s Father Jejemon, showing on December 25 in theaters nationwide.
