Robi Domingo denies he was hurt when Jessy Mendiola allegedly turned him down.
Robi Domingo was being interviewed by Push.com.ph and other reporters during the plug shoot for ShoutOut when friend and co-host Arron Villaflor jokingly joined in. Arron said that after their weekly drama Your Song presents Boystown ended, Robi and leading lady Jessy Mendiola barely spoke to each. Robi instantly denied this by saying, "After Boystown nagkausap naman kami. Hanggang ngayon naguusap pa kami."
This prompted Robi to finally admit what really went on between him and Jessy, the young actress who will top-bill the upcoming primetime teleserye Sabel. Robi confessed, "The truth is niligawan ko siya. Pero hindi naging kami. Hindi rin totoong binasted niya ako kasi hindi kami umabot sa point na 'lsquo;yun."
Robi blamed his busy schedule of school and showbiz commitments as the reason why his courtship of Jessy didn'rsquo;t prosper. Nevertheless, they have remained good friends. "Friends kami ni Jessy. Kung nagkakasalubong kami, we say 'lsquo;hi'rsquo; to each other. Minsan nagkakatext kami. She will be celebrating her debut soon. I think she wants me to be a part of the 18 roses." Robi said he is also willing to be her escort to her debut should she ask. "I would love to be her escort. Friends naman kami."
Push.com.ph then asked if there'rsquo;s still a chance for him to pursue Jessy again, when school and showbiz are no longer hindrances. "Maraming chances sa mundo, ha ha ha! I can try tomorrow, next week, next year. Hindi naman sa super confident ako na sasagutin niya ako. But I'rsquo;m good. We'rsquo;ll remain friends."
