Carol Banawa is happy about being more involved in her fifth Star Records album.
Currently back in the country, former Ang TV talent Carol Banawa is busy promoting her fifth album under Star Records, entitled My Music, My Life. The 29-year-old singer originally came back to visit her father and was surprised when she got offered to do an album while on vacation. "Hindi ko naisip na magkakaron ng ganito and I'rsquo;m very, very thankful to Star Records and very grateful to Aiza (Seguerra) for accepting the project and for working with me," she says. Carol feels especially lucky that Aiza produced her album. "Na-appreciate ko si Aiza not just because she'rsquo;s a great producer. Also because she'rsquo;s a very great person and natutuwa ako kasi nagkatrabaho kami, nakaumpisa kami ng pagkakaibigan na forever yung pagkakaibigan," she said.
Carol couldn'rsquo;t help but share her admiration for her fellow Star Records artist. "Super galing ni Aiza. Nakakatuwa, super nag-enjoy ako kasi since we were trying our best to finish the album on time," she said. Carol admitted that one of the first things they focused on when she arrived in the country was to secure a work permit. Carol said she has been working with Aiza on the album non-stop since then. "Almost everyday magkasama kaming dalawa. So wala kaming ginawa kundi kumain, sobrang enjoy yung sessions," she said. Carol admitted she also learned something new from her new record producer. "Ngayon ko lang na-experience na to get really involved in making an album, ultimo nagmi-mix, ultimo tumutugtog ng gitara, ng drums, nakilala ko, which is something I really appreciated kasi si Aiza, yun yung gutso niyang maintindihan ng mga singers na kapag may album, hindi lang tungkol sa singer kasi madaming tao yung gumawa ng album," she said.
