Toni Gonzaga on her kissing scene with John Lloyd Cruz: 'It's about time'

But for her newest movie My Amnesia Girl, Toni made a rare move by agreeing to kiss her leading man, John Lloyd Cruz.  When asked what made her do the scene, Toni joked, “It’s about time, ha ha ha!” But the multimedia star explained that there’s so much more in My Amnesia Girl than the kissing scene, which is vital to the story. “Kailangan naman talaga kasi sa eksena. Tsaka malaki ang tiwala ko kay Direk Cathy (Garcia Molina) at kay John Lloyd kaya kung ano ang hihingin sa akin, talagang ibibigay ko.” Toni also said that she had done some kissing scenes in her previous movies with Sam Milby. “Nagkaroon na ako ng mga smack dati sa pelikula. Dito lang kay John Lloyd kinailangan ng medyo preparasyon.”  But when asked how different John Lloyd’s kiss was from her other kissing scenes, Toni blushed as she answered, “Okay naman siya, he he he!” There was also one scene in My Amnesia Girl where she and John Lloyd were in the car together the latter takes off his shirt only to have Toni smell it. Toni described her experience doing that scene. “Mabango si Lloydy. Fresh siya, walang amoy. Okay lang naman ako sa eksena kasi aamuyin ko lang naman ‘yung t-shirt niya. Si Lloydy ang nailang kasi topless siya dun sa scene, ha ha ha!” But more than these scenes, Toni said that what she looked forward to while working on My Amnesia Girl was the chance to work with the acclaimed actor and blockbuster star. “Nae-excite talaga ako tuwing pupunta ako sa set dahil napakasarap katrabaho ni John Lloyd. No wonder lahat ng nakakapareha niya gumagaling sa pag-arte because he is so generous. Hindi ka niya bibitawan sa eksena. He will bring out the best in you.  That’s why he’s the best, ha ha ha!” My Amnesia Girl is now open in theaters nationwide.
