Kim Chiu wants to move on from the Gerald Anderson-Bea Alonzo issue and focus on her Christmas plans of going abroad instead.
Starting December 12, Sunday, Kim Chiu will be the featured artist in the afternoon series Your Song for a total of 13 episodes that will last approximately three months. Kim follows Andi Eigenmann who did four episodes of Your Song.
"Thankful and sobrang nagpapasalamat ako sa unit ni Sir Deo (Endrinal, business unit head) and ABS-CBN dahil pinagkatiwalaan nila ako ng ganito kahabang Your Song, 13 episodes, 13 Sundays, so thankful," said Kim during the press conference of her upcoming show. The popular actress related that she missed acting so she is tremendously excited about her new project. "Tagal ko ring 'lsquo;di nagti-taping. Tagal kong hindi nakikita sa TV na umaarte so nami-miss ko rin po 'lsquo;yon. Dahil last ko Kung Tayo'rsquo;y Magkakalayo and 'lsquo;Till My Heartaches End and eto ulit ako and masaya and excited po."
Kim will be working with different artists and leading men every week. Some members of the press asked Kim if this spells the end of her popular team-up with Gerald Anderson. "Umiikot naman po 'lsquo;yung mundo namin. Siyempre nasa show business naman kami so sa four years naman na magkasama kami ni Gerald siguro time na rin para mag-grow para magkaroon kami ng chance para ibang tao naman ang makasama, ibang tao ang makatrabaho namin," replied Kim.
The actress was asked to reveal the true reason for her supposed breakup with Gerald, which supposedly involved Bea Alonzo. "Respeto n'rsquo;yo na lang po sa amin 'lsquo;yon ni Gerald and ibalato n'rsquo;yo na lang po sa amin kung ano man 'lsquo;yon. Hayaan na lang po natin 'lsquo;yon," Kim pleaded.
Kim was also asked if she has already healed from the supposed breakup. "Huwag na po nating pag-usapan 'lsquo;yon. Basta masaya po kami. Okay po kami ni Gerald. Nag-uusap naman kami. Ganun pa rin naman." She added clarified that Gerald and Bea are no longer receiving death threats from rabid Kimerald fans. "Natigil na po 'lsquo;yon. And ang isyung 'lsquo;yon alam ko matagal na matagal na po 'lsquo;yon so sana pagpahingahin na natin 'lsquo;yung isyung 'lsquo;yon. Hayaan na po natin."
Even when some of the press people were persistent about getting Kim to open up, the actress still kept mum on the matter. "Mas maraming salita, mas marami pong nasasaktan, mas maraming natatamaan. Kaya mas pinili ko po na huwag na lang pong sagutin ang mga 'lsquo;yan and tumahimk na lang dahil ayoko po ng gulo. Huwag na po. Hayaan n'rsquo;yo na. Masaya po lahat."
In the meantime, Kim explained that her plans of going abroad alone this Christmas have no connection with the controversies and issues involving her. She revealed that seeing snow abroad has been a childhood dream so she is spending the holidays in a colder climate. "Sabi ko talaga ngayon wala akong [Metro Manila] Film Fest entry. Every year kasi meron akong film fest entry so hindi
