Carol Banawa admits that she was misunderstood about what she said about her friends Chito Miranda and Kaye Abad.
After reports came out that she had indirectly admitted that Kaye Abad already had a child, Carol Banawa could not apologize enough for the mistake. The singer-actress is currently in the country to spend time with her parents as well as to promote her new album, My Music, My Life, under Star Records.
After the report came out on SNN, Carol said she tried her best to rectify the situation in every way possible. "Siyempre nanunuod ako ng SNN nung binalita yun at muntik na ko mahulog sa upuan ko dahil biglang ako pala daw yung nagsabi. So tinawagan ko kaagad si Kaye at saka nag-Tweet ako agad kasi that was during the weekend na Saturday nagkita pa kami nila Kaye at nagkuwekuwentuhan kami kasi lima kaming nandun, apat sa amin nanganak na, except for Kaye. And yung kuwentuhan was about panganganak pa so yung mukha niya talagang takot na takot siya. Tapos sorry ako ng sorry sa kanila. Nahiya rin kasi ako sa mommy at sa daddy niya kasi nakita rin namin sila. Tapos natatawa lang sila," she shared.
Carol also had to apologize to Kaye'rsquo;s former longtime boyfriend Chito Miranda, who assured her that their friendship wasn'rsquo;t going to be affected by the issue. "Kay Chito nag-sorry rin ako. Sabi nga ni Chito na bakit nag-aabala ako mag-explain, eh wala namang kailangan i-explain. Sabi ko, 'lsquo;I don'rsquo;t want to put you guys in a bad light dahil may nasabi ako.'rsquo; So hindi siya galit," she said.
Carol said that she values the friendship she has with the couple and she was truly bothered by the issue. "Affected ako kasi nahihiya ako they attended my wedding. So they are friends of mine so I respect them and whatever happened between them, I respect it. Pero ako na nagsasabi, wala talaga silang anak so nahihiya ako na may gumanon pa and ako pa yung na-quote. Wala akong sinabing directly na may anak si Kaye, pero 'lsquo;pag binasa mo yung idea nung sinabi ko, parang yun yung sinabi ko. Pero wala nga akong sinabi. Wala talaga," she stressed.
The US-based singer was relieved that her friends were very kind about the whole misunderstanding. "We were never not okay. Kumbaga, the whole time that was happening, okay kami and nagsabi na ako sa kanila na mag-e-explain ako ng ganito. Pero from the start silang dalawa na yung nagsasabi sa akin na huwag na, huwag mo ng pansinin, huwag ka na mag-effort," she said.
