Arron Villaflor wants to continue acting in indie films

After his film Astro Mayabang won the Audience Choice and Special Citation awards in the recent Cinema One Originals awards night, Arron Villafor admitted that he is still in high spirits after doing his first indie film. Kumbaga may freedom ka sa pelikulang gagawin mo,” he said.

Even after being in showbiz for the past five years after being discovered in Star Circle Quest 2, Arron admits he has no hesitation if he becomes more known as an indie actor.

When asked if doing his first kissing scene in Astro Mayabang meant he would start being open to doing more daring roles, Arron said he is not shying away from it, but it is all dependent on the quality of the story. Kaya happy ako,” he explained.

Arron said that a big part of his independent film experience was being able to mingle with veteran stage and screen actors like Ronnie Lazaro, Pen Medina, and Mark Gil, who were also part of the other Cinema One Originals film entries. And although he admires all of them for their work, he looks up to one veteran actor in particular. Napakabinata pa niya at guwapito pa nun. At saka sa bawat ginagawa niya, he takes it as serious work talaga. Yun yung gusto ko ring mangyari sa akin,” he said.
