Rico J. Puno says it pays to work with people like Pokwang who love their work.
Rico J. Puno recently invited his Pilipinas Win na Win co-hosts to his bar in Greenhills to have some bonding time outside the show. "Nalaman ko na they want to know more about me and ako rin [ganun din ako sa kanila]. Yung tension, nanggagaling yun kapag hindi pa kayo masyadong magkakakilala. Now, I've learned that we are surrounded with good and lovable people, sila ang mga bago kong Kapamilya na palagay ko talagang pwede mong pagkatiwalaan. Plus they are all professionals."
He and co-host Pokwang have already established humorous chemistry in Pilipinas Win na Win. "Alam mo kasi kapag galing sa puso yung iyong gagawin at may puso rin ang iyong katrabaho, nagre-reciprocate. Hindi namin pinag-usapan yun, we didn't sit down to conceptualize, wala. Basta bigla na lang may chemistry pala. Kami naman being professionals, we follow through. We just don't try hard to do it. It just comes out." He joked, "Parang tinototoo na nga ni Pokwang."
In previous interviews with Pilipinas Win na Win hosts Janelle Jamer and Speedy G, they said that they look up to Rico for being humble and approachable despite all the success he has achieved. "Salamat naman. What you see is what you get sa akin. I've been in this business for thirty-five years, artists come and go. And if you stayed, marami talagang learnings. Kapag mahal mo talaga ang tao, kapag people lover ka, kahit wala ka sa camera, you smile and greet them. And I respect my co-artists who respect their craft," Rico said.
Rico is looking forward to doing shows abroad and meet TFC subscribers all over the world. "It will come. Madami nang tumatawag. Kapag pumunta ka sa Twitter at sa Facebook, kapag tiningnan mo ang pangalan ko, talagang nakakataba ng puso'mdash;gaganda ng nakasulat dun. Kung iisipin ko yun baka lumaki ulo ko, e. Pero never mangyayari yun."
