Kim Chiu and Enchong Dee are confident that their respective fans will understand if they get paired up onscreen.
Kim Chiu and Enchong Dee said recently that they don'rsquo;t mind being paired up with each other in acting projects because they believe that this will help them grow as actors. At the Coca-Cola Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony last Friday, November 12, at Araneta Center, Cubao, Kim and Enchong said that they seldom see each other these days so they are glad for any opportunity to work together to catch up on each other. They are in the latest commercial of Coke where they also had a kissing scene. Kim and Enchong previously worked together in teleseryes My Only Hope and My Girl and have been long-time friends.
"It'rsquo;s always a chance for us to grow as artists to be paired with someone else and I'rsquo;m sure gusto rin ni Kim. Gusto rin ng bawat artista na may growth ang ginagawa nila every time. I'rsquo;m privileged if ever makatrabaho ko siya but for now wala pa naman," explained Enchong, whose perennial leading lady is Erich Gonzales while Kim'rsquo;s long-time leading man is Gerald Anderson.
"Kasi sa trabaho namin umiikot naman ang bawat artista and magu-grow naman [kami] hindi naman nananatili sa isang kaparehas," said Kim. When further prodded if it is okay with her that Enchong will be her new leading man, Kim replied, "Why not? Siyempre 'lsquo;pag maganda 'lsquo;yung [project] and kung [okay] sa management, open naman kami, eh."
Though their respective team-ups have huge followings, Kim and Enchong were asked if they are worried about their fans'rsquo; reaction if they become onscreen partners and leave their more popular tandems behind. "Hindi ko po alam pero lagi naman silang andyan para suportahan kami," said Kim.
"Okay naman tsaka ever since we started sinabi naman namin sa kanila whatever they see between us'mdash;me and Erich'mdash;trabaho 'lsquo;yon tsaka 'lsquo;yung behind-the-camera, sa amin na lang 'lsquo;yun. And simula pa lang, sinusuportahan na nila ang ganung idea kaya hindi mahirap para sa amin,"'nbsp; said Enchong.
