Albert Martinez says he learned a lot while directing the film Rosario

After finishing the teleserye Kung Tayo'rsquo;y Magkakalayo, Albert Martinez has been busy filming Rosario, an official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival this December. When asked if he feels pressured knowing that Rosario would be pitted against other big-budgeted movies (such as Ang Tanging Ina Mo Rin: Huli Na 'lsquo; To, RPG Metanoia, Shake Rattle and Roll, and Ang Agimat Ni Enteng), the actor-director simply replied, "Actually, 'lsquo;di ko naiisip yung pressure and competing with the others.

According to Albert, the film is based on the true story of a former carnival queen whose struggles in life and love will surely move a lot of moviegoers. "The message that I want to convey through this movie is very simple. From production design to the characters na magbibigay buhay sa pelikula, pinag-isipan talaga."

Since being a director means he should always be on top of things, Albert claimed that he really learned to be more passionate and disciplined when it comes to his craft. But I am not complaining because it'rsquo;s a very good experience and I am very happy with the outcome of the film.

Albert also takes pride in the fact that he was able to get a powerhouse cast from different networks for this project. Some of the Kapamilya stars who are part of Rosario include Dolphy, Sid Lucero, and Empress to name a few. "More than anything, dumali trabaho ko dahil magagaling sila. Kumbaga half of my job tapos na, 'lsquo;di ako masyado namroblema.
