Gretchen Barretto defends partner Tonyboy Cojuangco on allegations of his involvement in illegal gambling.
At the recent StarStudio Celebrity Style awards, Gretchen Barretto took the opportunity clarify to the media that her longtime partner Tonyboy Cojuangco has no ties whatsoever to jueteng. "Ayoko na sanag pag-usapan dahil hindi naman siya showbiz so hayaan na natin. Hindi na. Just to make a correction, hindi siya na-involve sa jueteng," she said. The businessman and longtime partner of Gretchen was also present at the event to escort the Magkaribal actress. Although he sat with her in the front row, he did not grant any interviews that night. Gretchen also made clear that she would not be entertaining any more questions regarding the jueteng issue. "Wala. 'lsquo;Wag na natin gawan ng intriga. Masaya ang gabi. Wag na tayo maging negative," she stressed.
As always, Gretchen looked radiant and fashionable in the simple outfit she chose to wear for the night. She ended up winning the Best Red Carpet Style award and admits that she is a true blue fashionista at heart. "With this award, I'rsquo;m more inspired to be better in whatever I do, like for fashion. Hindi lang sa pag-aartista, pati sa fashion rin. I think fashion is really my first love. And so may our love for fashion continue for all eternity. I'rsquo;m inspired to always be my best for everyone," she said.
The actress also divulged that it'rsquo;s not too late to catch her hit teleserye Magkaribal, which is on its final month. "Abangan niyo na po. Mas magiging matitindi pa ang mga eksena. Abangan niyo po ang pagtatapos ng Magkaribal," she shared. Gretchen is also looking forward to a future project which will again possibly pair her up with Fil-Brit hottie Derek Ramsay. "Pinaguusapan pa ngayon pero hindi pa ako nakakapag-meeting dahil talagang busing-busy pa kami pero ang sigurado ay meron kaming bagong teleserye with Angelica Panganiban. Gagawin namin sa January," she said.
