Rico J Puno admits its a challenge staying away from green jokes on Pilipinas Win na Win

Rico J. Puno, Rey Valera, Marco Sison, and Nonoy Zu'ntilde;iga made their debut on October 4 as the new hosts of the noontime show Pilipinas Win na Win. Backstage right after the show, Rico told reporters that he is very flattered to have been given the chance to host Win na Win. "Napakalaki ng pasasalamat namin, first of all kay Lord, and sa ABS-CBN. Sabi nga namin, tumagal lang kami ng one week masaya na kami, he he he."

After four decades in showbiz, The Hitmakers get their very first regular hosting job, a duty which Rico described as something they will still need to learn. This is a very different thing. It will be a never-ending learning process.

The Hitmakers are hosting Win na Win at a time when rumors are rampant that the show is about to be axed because of poor ratings. Rico chose not think about negative things, but rather focus on the tough challenge he and the Hitmakers are facing given the "ratings war." "Hindi na namin aim na sumikat pa. Nandito kami para matulungan ang istasyon sa kanilang ipinaglalaban, which is ang Pilipinas Win na Win. Narinig kong sinabi ni FMG (Freddie M. Garcia, former ABS-CBN President who is the brains behind the hiring of The Hitmakers for Win na Win) kaharap ang ibang executive na, it'rsquo;s this group or wala na talaga.

Among The Hitmakers, Rico is known for his naughty and "double meaning" jokes. The iconic singer admitted that on his first day on Win na Win, he tried his best not to utter any green jokes.

But Rico explained that he welcomes all comments from the viewers, in case there are those who are already finding his sense humor offensive. "Tayo naman e matagal nang magkakasama. We will deeply appreciate your comments, whether good or bad.

So far there are those who are looking forward to seeing more of The Hitmakers on Pilipinas Win na Win. When asked about the reason behind their on-stage chemistry, Rico explained that the eight years of touring here and abroad helped them become friends in real life. But I will tell you, hindi namin ito nagawa overnight. We'rsquo;ve been doing this
