But despite his confirmation that they still keep in touch from time to time, he stressed that he just wanted to save the friendship that they'rsquo;ve had. 'Ano lang naman kasi ito e, here are two people who used to be together but who are open to the idea of friendship after a relationship. Parang we tried naman, pero may mga bagay na hindi na naming... In other words parang nakakapanghinayang kasi kaya naman sana e, kung hindi lang binibigyan ng malisya ng ibang tao. When asked why he kept denying that there'rsquo;s still communication between them in previous interviews, John Lloyd explained that it was never his intention to hide the truth from the public to begin with. 'When I was asked before about it, if I was still in communication with Ruffa, parang hindi ko madiretso kasi hindi siya ganon kadaling tanong na sagutin. It'rsquo;s not communication like kung paano siya ini-insinuate ng mga tao, ng ilang mga members ng press 'lsquo;di ba? It'rsquo;s communicating na may effort to address some issues na involved kami pareho.' He also pointed out that the rumor mill only make things complicated. 'Wala [akong intension na magsinungaling]. I mean, siguro yung pagkakataon kung kailan naitatanong siya o kailan dapat sagutin, dun lang nagkakaroon ng pagkakaiba. Pero what I'rsquo;m saying now, ito yung dapat kong sabihin, ito yung gusto kong sabihin,' John Lloyd reiterated. John Lloyd clearly got fed up with all the accusations being thrown his way that he decided to 'stay away' from Ruffa out of respect for his loved ones who also get affected by such intrigues. But he was quick to say that it doesn'rsquo;t necessarily mean that he would totally cut his ties with the TV host-actress. 'Siguro kasi kung ganito lang naman ang mangyayari, parang bakit ba sobrang laking issue na parang 'lsquo;pag nag-communicate yung dalawang tao who used to be together, parang napakalaking issue sa kanila?
