Rafael Rosell admits that he is in search of his individuality

In spite the heated romance of Rafael Rosell and Denise Laurel's characters in Precious Hearts Romances'rsquo; Kristine Series, Rafael is still not keen on developing a romantic relationship with his leading lady. Aside from focusing on his career, Rafael told Push.com.ph that he is in the process of finding his individuality. The support he gets from his parents and family are more than enough to keep him in good spirits. "I am single by choice. Basically I am dating my career. I've been married to my career. Pagdating naman to my status, my family and my mom, they advised me to try to stay single muna and find myself as a person kasi I have the tendency to absorb the personalities of the people around me kaya when I have a girlfriend I absorb her values, her traits, her opinions. Sabi ng mom ko, 'What if you stay single? By then you'll find your true self.'rsquo;"

Playing Marco De Silva in Kristine has become an outlet for his emotions. "I find the taping as a therapy kasi, dun ko ibinubuhos lahat ng hindi ko mabuhos sa totoong buhay so buti na lang may mga passionate love scenes sa Kristine at least dun ko nababawi," Rafael said while laughing. Rafael admits that he gets too absorbed with the complicated world of showbiz and this is the reason why he needs to de-stress regularly. "I tend to blend in with whoever I hang out with, and since I am always on the set and there are a lot of people around, I feel that there is a need to find solitude. To eliminate the man the society created. I want to get to know more about God and read more philosophical books about him."
