Piolo Pascual talks about what keeps him inspired despite his crazy work schedule.
Piolo Pascual is not the type who complains or gives other people attitude despite how difficult his work could be. But Piolo admitted that there are times when his hectic schedule is really testing his patience and strength as well. "Like last week for instance'mdash;Friday I had taping for Noah. Medyo injured pa rin yung left eye ko and meron akong sore throat but I couldn'rsquo;t be packed up early because we have scenes to be aired on Monday. Saturday I have to rest for my concert on the same night for an endorsement. So you come to an event dapat ready ka. After the concert I have to go to the Pasig River run the following day then I have to go to ASAP and study the songs I have to sing on the way to studio. So mahirap yung scheduling," he told Push.com.ph.
But as one of the country'rsquo;s premium artists, Piolo knows that it'rsquo;s his responsibility to provide maximum entertainment especially to his avid supporters. "The challenge for me is to give my best in anything that I do because hindi naman alam ng tao na mahirap ang maging artista. Most of the time hindi mo hawak ang oras mo. But of course I feel very privileged because I am always given the chance to inspire people through my craft."
Now that the PMPC Star Awards for TV is drawing closer, is he hoping to bag an acting award for his portrayal in his teleserye Noah? "Who wouldn'rsquo;t want that? Anybody would want to be recognized sa ginagawa natin or ma-appreciate man lang. But of course you want to give others a chance also. Kung sino naman talaga yung pinaka-deserving, yun dapat manalo," he replied.
In the meantime, Piolo revealed that he will be doing a film as soon as his schedule permits him to do so. "There'rsquo;s an upcoming movie pero 'lsquo;di ko pa pwede i-disclose kung sinong makakasama ko because we're still conceptualizing and medyo conflict pa yung leading lady ko. Pero we're going to start shooting maybe in December because I am taping almost everyday for Noah. Mahirap kasi tight yung competition so hand to mouth kami."
Aside from that, the country'rsquo;s ultimate heartthrob is also working on a new album featuring songs from the 'lsquo;80s, 'lsquo;90s, and 2000s. "I am also doing concerts on the side and I'rsquo;m almost done with my new album which is a follow up to Decades. It'rsquo;s a personal album kasi kami mismo yung pumipili ng songs, whatever comes to mind. Pinag-uusapan namin ng producer (Jonathan Manalo) ko then we bring it up to Star Records and from there we decide if it'rsquo;s listenable. So kinanta ko yung 'lsquo;Truly, Madly, Deeply'rsquo; ng Savage Garden, 'lsquo; You Were There'rsquo; by Southern Sons. Then kanina I thought of doing 'lsquo;Somebody'rsquo; by Depeche Mode. And then there are songs from the 'lsquo;80s like Nothing'rsquo;s Gonna Change My Love For You,'rsquo; 'lsquo;I Never Thought,'rsquo; and 'lsquo;Just Tell Me You Love Me.'rsquo; So yun, nag-enjoy ako sa pagpili ng tracks," he beamed.
