Jake Cuenca returns to Precious Hearts Romances with 'My Cheating Heart'

The two were last seen in the Stupid Cupid episode of the first PHR chapter, Bud Brothers. ABS-CBN.com spoke with Jake on the first taping day for My Cheating Heart and he described what viewers can expect from this upcoming romantic mini-series. “It’s a light romantic story. May konting sexy element. Comedy pa rin kasi makikita niyo kami ni Cristine na parang aso’t pusa kung magaway. But since si Rory Quintos ang director makikita niyong napaka-intelligent ng mga dialogs.” Although this is the second time that he will be working with Cristine, Jake said that he still considers his team up with the sexy actress as “fresh.” “Masaya kami ngayon dito kasi sa Bud Brothers one week lang ‘yung chapter namin. Ngayon mas mahaba na ‘yung kwento namin. I think ‘yung team up namin ni Cristine can still be considered fresh kasi sandali lang kami noon napanood sa Bud Brothers. Parang first time pa lang kami mapapanood sa mas mahabang story. Sa set ng Cheating Hearts napapansin namin may mga bagong kaming nadi-discover ni Tin sa isa’t isa especially in terms of doing scenes together.” My Cheating Heart tells the story of childhood friends Mio and Nadine. Jake shared how his character Mio will develop feelings for his best friend. “Mag-best friend kami sa simula. Makikita niyo si Mio na walang malisya kay Nadine, pero si Nadine may gusto na kay Mio. Pupunta ng US si Nadine and pagbalik niya after many years, magugulat si Mio kasi sobra nang ganda ni Nadine. Hindi makapaniwala si Mio kasi huli niyang nakita si Nadine maitim at patpatin. Ngayon maganda na talaga siya.” Jake’s last TV role was man in uniform Dave Garcia in the top-rating primetime teleserye Tayong Dalawa. According to him, playing Mio is much more relaxed than his role in Tayong Dalawa. “Si Mio mature umasta, very straightforward. Broken-hearted kasi siya. Dapat ikakasal na siya, pero ‘yung girlfriend niya iniwan siya sa altar mismo. Mio got so depressed. Dadating si Nadine and she will help Mio get back on his feet again. Gagawin niya ang lahat para mapasaya ako uli. Pero underneath that is ‘yung plan niya na ma-fall in love ako sa kanya.” Being a light romantic comedy, My Cheating Heart, according to Jake, is a perfect show for the hopeless romantic during the lazy weekday afternoons. “Ang daming funny scenes dito lalo na ‘yung aso’t pusang awayan namin. Pero may mga dramatic moments din like nung iniwan ako ng asawa ko at nung nakita ako ni Tin na may kasamang ibang babae.
