Dagdag pa ng hunky actor, sobra siyang kinakabahan sa set kahit ang makaka-eksena niya ang ay kanyang real-life girlfriend. “Both of us had a hard time with the love scene. Akala namin dati it would be easier because we’re comfortable with each other. Ang nangyari ilang beses kaming natatawa. Pero two takes lang naman ‘yun. The only problem was the pressure. I really had to focus.” Sa hiwalay na panayam ng SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon kay Angelica, ibinunyag ng aktres na ito ang first time ni Derek na gumawa ng love scene, kaya’t pagkatapos ng eksena ay sobra siyang pinagpawisan. “Pawis na pawis lang siya. Kinakabahan lang siya all throughout. Sobrang nawirduhan siya kasi may mga nanonood. Kapag nag-smack nga kami hindi kami nagpapakita sa mga tao. Kakaiba ‘yung feeling na love scene tapos may mga nanonood.” Natigil pansamantala ang shooting ng I Love You Goodbye, na ipapalabas na sa December 25, habang ang director nitong si Laurice Guillen ay nagluluksa para sa namayapang asawang si Johnny Delgado. Napaiyak si Angelica habang ikikwento kung paano siyang tratuhin parang isang anak ng yumaong aktor. Si Derek nagpahatid din ng kanyang condolences. “Knowing Direk Laurice she’s a very strong woman. It will never be an easy thing for anyone to accept the death of your beloved. But I think Direk was ready for it. She was tired na rin of seeing her husband suffering. I want to hug her and tell her that she can take all the time in the world before she gets back to work and finish our movie. Pero si Direk sigurado she will jump back to work.” Dagdag pa ni Derek, “Me and Angel are feeling a bit down because of what happened. We try to look on the bright side. At least Tito Johnny is no longer in pain. I’ve been trying to put a smile on her face. She was actually the one who broke the tragic news to me. Angel has been feeling down because of Tito Johnny’s passing. She saw him like her own father.”
