star Jessy Mendiola was quick to comment that anything is possible when it comes to love when asked about the chances she might fall in love with her co-star Jake Cuenca. “Anything is possible naman
especially kasi kami lagi kaming magkakasama at parang kapag tumagal pa, tingnan natin, at oo meron namang
possibility,” the actress remarked.
Jake has expressed his admiration of the actress, saying that Jessy is someone who’s worth fighting for. The actor though didn’t confirm or deny if he’s courting her. Meanwhile, actor Sam Milby has announced that he’s courting Jessy.
But Jessy stressed that she’s still waiting for the right time to commit to a relationship, saying that she’s like her Maria Mercedes character who’s patient when it comes to love.“Kasi hinihintay ni [Maria Mercedes] ang tamang panahon kung kailan siya mai-in love ng todo-todo at ganon din ako in real life, maghahantay ako ng tamang panahon at hindi ‘yung agad-agad. Sa ngayon pamilya muna,” she said.
The actress is ecstatic to be the lead star of the remake of one of Thalia’s popular soap in the Philippines. She relayed that it is definitely one of her dream roles. “Sobrang dream role ko ang Maria Mercedes along with other dream roles at sobrang happy ako na ibinigay sa akin ‘to, kumbaga, sabi nga nila, ang feeling ay nabigyan ka na ng spicy may sweet surprise pa.”
She’s also excited because the soap is set to be aired on primetime this October when ABS-CBN is celebrating its 60th anniversary. “Originally dapat non-primetime show ‘to pero siguro napakita namin ‘yung gusto naming maiparating sa kanila na mahal namin ang project na ‘to, kaya ginawa nilang primetime.”
She added,”‘Yun nga sinsabi nila this October [ipapalabas] kasi in the celebration of the 60th anniversary and kumbaga kami ‘yung ila-launch around that time so I’m really happy na they consider our show to be one of their offerings and I’m actually really happy na we were given more than what we were asking for and I feel like we are really blessed and that the management trusted us.”
