As part of the cast of the upcoming Skylight films comedy Bromance
, child star Abbie Bautista said she always has fun especially when working on movie projects with box-office hit director Wenn Deramas.
,” she said.
Eleven-year-old Abbie has been acting for more than three years now after she was discovered doing TV commercials. In Bromance, she plays the role of niece to Zanjoe Marudo's twin characters Brando and Brandy. “Gusto ko katrabaho si kuya Zanjoe kasi sobrang gaan po, magaan siya talaga katrabaho at mabait,” she revealed during the grand presscon of Bromance.
As young as she is, Abbie said she enjoys acting and looks up to the Kapamilya Comedy Queen Ai-Ai De las Alas. She said she hopes to get the chance to work with Ai-Ai someday in another project because they did not have scenes together in the 2012 MMFF top-grosser Sisterakas.
The commercial model turned actress was also seen as part of the horror movie The Healing last year. But when it comes to her dream role, Abbie said she wants to get the chance to do twin roles like what her kuya Zanjoe did in their movie.
Although she is still very young, Abbie said she hopes to be able to follow in the footsteps of her celebrity idol Anne Curtis someday. Gustong gusto ko talaga maging kagaya niya paglaki ko,” she said.
Catch Abbie Bautista in the Zanjoe Marudo starrer Bromance which opens in theaters on May 15 under Skylight Films.
