John Lloyd Cruz was proud to say that Sarah Geronimo has really matured as an actress in their third movie, It Takes A Man And A Woman
. They just finished shooting their scenes in New York during the last week of January, but the versatile actor admitted that he already has some apprehensions about the end of the successful movie franchise of A Very Special Love
“Well I’m excited na malapit na ipalabas yung pelikula. Pero
at the same time nakakalungkot kasi
last na ito.
After nito, magkasama man ulit kami sa pelikula, wala na yung
Miggy-Laida, ibang storya na.
So in a way, excited ako pero may konting lungkot kasi
bye-bye na kami sa dalawang
characters. But you can expect a more mature kind of story, ibang-iba si
Sarah dito. Ang
cute isipin na si
Sarah yung mas
New York. Para siyang
New Yorker sa mga eksena namin at yun yung isa sa mga dapat abangan sa
movie,” said John Lloyd in an exclusive interview with Push.com.ph
right after his special co-hosting stint on Sarah G Live
last Sunday, February 10.
John Lloyd also took note of the changes in Sarah ever since they got the chance to work together in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya back in 2006. Although he kept on teasing Sarah about her most recent heartbreak, he maintained that she can always count on him as one of her trusted friends. “Happy ako na kahit papaano nawi-witness ko up close yung kanyang growth mula nung episode niya sa Maalaala Mo Kaya, A Very Special Love, You Changed My Life, hanggang ngayon nandito pa rin ako. Nabibigyan tayo ng chance, ng privilege, na makausap yung Popstar Princess, makamusta mo siya ng malapitan, masaya lang ako na nandito lang ako at within reach lang niya ako.”
Aside from their upcoming movie, John Lloyd was also very vocal about wanting to work with Sarah again. When asked that Sarah mentioned during her recent contract signing that she’s open to do a sitcom with him, he replied, “Masarap pakinggan [na gusto niya akong makatrabaho ulit], nakakatuwa isipin, sana nga mangyari. Ako rin kasi gusto ko mag-sitcom eh. Gusto ko magkasama kami.”
