020613-matteo_main.jpgMatteo Guidicelli revealed he is already in training for two major sporting events this year. “I have a lot of plans. This year I have different triathlons we plan to compete in. Me and my dad were getting ready already, but unfortunately my dad got into an accident last month so he was in the hospital. He’s recuperating. We’ve been concentrating on getting ready for the Xterra Cebu and Ironman Cebu. We’ve been training by doing mountain biking,” he shared. The Xterra Off Road Triathlon will be in March and the Ironman triathlon in August which will both be held in Cebu City where Matteo is from.

As a dedicated athlete, Matteo admitted he has had to make a lot of sacrifices in order to continue being active and competitive in his newest sport. “It’s very hard but it takes a lot of determination and talagang time management especially when it comes to sleep. Sleep is very important so I really have to catch up on sleep. Sometimes we have to work late and that makes it hard to find time to rest. But you really need to get enough of that to train well,” he explained.

The Kapamilya heartthrob said he will always keep sports an important part of his life, prioritizing it even more than having a love life. “It’s my love eh and I love keeping a healthy lifestyle. Work and my sports, I just love them both so I can’t let them go,” he admitted.

The mestizo actor said he is not planning to rush into a new relationship any time soon. “I love my work and my sports, that’s it. That’s really all there is right now but we’ll see what happens,” he told Push.com.ph.
