A nervous but excited Jolo Revilla appeared before the members of the press last October 15 at the story conference of Agimat: Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla, where he will be featured as Pepeng Agimat. Jolo said that he is happy to work with ABS-CBN, which immediately treated him like a true Kapamilya. Jolo, who used to be with the rival network, said that he is open to the idea of becoming a Kapamilya star.

Reprising the role originally played by his grandfather Sen. Ramon Revilla, Jolo said that the current Pepeng Agimat will have a different story from the original movie. Asked what advice did his grandfather give him, Jolo answered, “Sabi niya, ‘Relax ka lang ‘wag kang kakabahan.’

Jolo’s mood suddenly turned serious when he was asked about son Gabriel nicknamed Budoy, whose mom is Rosanna Roces’s daughter, Grace Adriano. There has been a long-standing feud between the Revillas and Osang’s camp as to who is the better guardian for Budoy. Jolo revealed though that Budoy is stays with him during weekdays and with Grace on weekends.

He also disclosed that he and Grace are the only ones who decide on anything concerning Budoy. “Nasa pag-uusap namin ‘yon bilang magulang. Kumbaga may sarili na kaming isip at nasa hustong edad na kami, so we have the right to decide,” Jolo explained. The actor clarified though that they still seek the advice of their parents.

When prodded about the gap between his parents (Sen. Bong Revilla and Lani Mercado) and Osang, the young actor pleaded, “Basta para sa akin, tama na. So ‘wag na nating pag-awayan.

Jolo also explained that he is not preventing Budoy from seeing Grace and her family and would gladly allow them to spend time with Budoy if they wanted to.

Meanwhile, Jolo said that his family has tried to communicate with Osang, but refused to comment if the actress was willing to talk to them. “Ayoko namang sabihing ayaw [niya], pero open kami,” he stated.
