Unlike his previous interviews, Vic Sotto opened up about his much-speculated breakup with longtime girlfriend Pia Guanio in an interview with ABS-CBN reporters on the set of his new movie last February 22. The accommodating comedian-host explained that he and Pia are still on good terms even though they'rsquo;ve decided to part ways. People only have to watch them together on their noontime show to see that they'rsquo;ve handled their breakup well. "We'rsquo;re doing good, we'rsquo;re okay, never been better. Wala naman dapat [ilangan] e. Si Pia is very professional. We'rsquo;re still close. As I'rsquo;ve said we'rsquo;re doing okay. Hindi naman kailangang mag-away kayo, or magkaroon ng issue. I love that word, issue," said Vic with a laugh.
Pia was supposedly spotted dating a non-showbiz guy since September of last year. Pia'rsquo;s new boyfriend is reportedly into the car rental business whose affluent family hails from Alabang. Although Vic didn'rsquo;t particularly comment about this issue, he maintained that it'rsquo;s okay if Pia has found someone new in her life; in the same way that he'rsquo;s also open to dating again. "Yeah, why not? Only time would tell. Hindi naman natin kontrolado kung ano ang magiging future." But when asked if he had the chance to celebrate Valentine'rsquo;s Day with a special someone, he merely replied, "I was working, I was taping. Kasi naman, sabi nga nila everyday should be Valentine'rsquo;s Day. Wala, sina Wally (Bayola) at Jose (Manalo) ang kasama ko nun."
Vic also took the chance to put a stop to the speculations about his rumored romance with young actress Gwen Zamora. He refuted previous reports that they'rsquo;re dating and insisted she was merely his leading lady in his recent movie Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote. "Sinong young actress 'lsquo;yang nali-link sa akin? Pinangalanan ko na nga 'lsquo;yang [blind item] na 'lsquo;yan. Aba si Gwen Zamora yung sinasabi ni'rsquo;yo. Tapos na yung pelikula ah, leading lady ko siya dun. She will always be asawa ni Enteng. Wala naman kaming kuwan, [relasyon], wala, wala," he reiterated.
