As part of the powerhouse cast of Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon,
Dina Bonnevie said she is balancing being in the world of showbiz and politics at the same time. As wife to Ilocos Sur Vice Governor DV Savellano, the talented actress said she takes her duties to the province very seriously.
“I'm really a workaholic. Hindi ko na siguro matanggal sa akin yun na parang siguro if I don't work I'll die. In fact natanong na ako nung elections na as the wife of the vice-governor what are my projects daw. Sabi ko hindi naman ako empleyado ng kapitolyo but they say na dapat may gagawin ka din for the province. So that’s what I work so hard for, to promote the products of Ilocos, yung mga banig nila, yung mga almires, yung woodcraft at rattan craft, yun ang talagang pinagtratrabahuan ko ng husto. Pag hindi ako nag-te-taping, may ginagawa nga akong label, yung mga bags. That's actually the advocacy of my husband kasi he wants to promote Ilocos products and as the wife of the vice-governor tinutulungan ko siya na i-promote yun,” she shared during the grand presscon of Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon held last June 3 at Chandelle Events Place in Quezon City.
When asked about whether she wants her ex-husband Vic Sotto to get married again, Dina said she just wants him to be happy. “Sa akin parang hindi naman necessarily wishing na mag-asawa siya kasi there are some people who are not marrying types talaga. There are some people who love a companion but afraid when it comes to commitment. I'm not saying he's like that pero parang siguro tinitingnan ko lang yung track record palaging ganun lang. I think kasi for Vic it will be very difficult for him to get married. Maybe siguro mahihirapan siya kasi whoever will marry him has to deal with Danica and Oyo, has to deal with Paulina na anak niya kay Angela (Luz) and Vico na anak niya with Coney (Reyes). Ako never ako nakikialam pero of course Coney and Angela nakikita pa rin niya every week. I mean what woman can put up with that kind of set up ‘di ba? Ako at least out na ako diyan. I have my own life now. Siguro for him, first of all I wish him good health and his own happiness. If his happiness means being with someone who can take care of him, who can sincerely be with him through thick and thin, in sickness and in health, then fine,” she admitted.
