EXCLUSIVE: Devon Seron on possibly having a Korean suitor: ‘Basta ako happy ako’

With the commercial run of You With Me, Devon Seron’s first lead role on the big screen, the pretty actress said she really had many memorable moments making the film while shooting in Korea. “Marami unforgettable moments kasi everyday shooting day namin and straight yun na 11 days. Iba-iba yung mga ginagawa namin, iba-iba yung mga locations. Siguro lahat yun for me memorable talaga. Maraming magagandang places napuntahan namin like Bamboo Park, Hangang River, Namsan Park so marami-rami kaming mga kilalang lugar sa Korea na napuntahan,” she recalled during the You With Me special block screening organized by Jaevon Gems last September 27 in Quezon city.

After bonding with her Korean co-stars Hyun Woo and Jin Ju-Hyung, Devon admitted she has become comfortable with them and has even learned a few Korean phrases along the way. The 24-year-old actress said there is no big difference between Pinoy and Korean men. “Wala naman sa nationality yan eh. Love is universal. Kung sino yung maganda yung personality para sa akin, basta ang importante kung paano siya makitungo sa ibang tao. The difference nila hindi ko masabi kasi ang mga tao iba-iba naman eh. Kahit mga Pinoy o mga Koreano, depende kung paano sila pinalaki and ano yung mga manners, attitude at behavior nila sa life,” she explained.

The You With Me star said she is even open to dating Koreans now and could not deny when PUSH asked her if she had any Korean suitors at present. “Smile na lang tayo diyan. Basta ako happy ako. Of course naman (open ako) basta yung mga standards na hinahanap ko hindi naman physical so sa personality talaga,” she explained.

With the Fil-Korean movie currently out in theaters, Devon hopes it can pave the way for more opportunities for her in and outside the country. “Yes, hopefully. Kasi opportunities na yun so sayang naman if I don’t grab it. Kaya pag meron open naman ako. Right now I am doing an indie film under Jason Paul Laxamana called Bakwit Boys. I don’t know when it will be shown pero hopefully this year or early next year,” she said.
